What is XAI?
Overview of XAI
Xai Blockchain is a Layer 3 blockchain platform developed on the Layer 2 platform Arbitrum Nitro. XAI is designed specifically for games and provides a number of additional features to help improve the game experience including:
- Account Abstraction: This makes it easy for traditional players to create wallets using social media accounts without having to learn complicated concepts like public keys and private keys.
- Experience without consuming gas: Thanks to Account Abstraction technology, XAI delivers a gasless experience similar to Web 2.0.
- Expanding contract limits: Allows developers to create games with smart contracts of higher complexity on the XAI Blockchain.
- Completely decentralized ecosystem: This helps ensure that Xai Blockchain is safe and transparent, everyone participating in the network can become a Validator.
- High security: Xai Blockchain inherits the strong security of the Ethereum network.
What is XAI?
In the XAI ecosystem, the XAI Foundation acts as a game publisher similar to Activision, responsible for overseeing and supporting various projects in the XAI ecosystem. According to the roadmap, the Final Form game will launch its beta version in December, at the same time as XAI Blockchain officially launches. Final Form is a card strategy game developed by EX Populus, promising to be a grand opening game for XAI Blockchain.
Development roadmap
- September 2023: Launch of the Final Form bridge to help transfer assets from Solana to the Arbitrum ecosystem.
- October 2023: Launch of XAI token.
- November 2023: Launch of the XAI Validator program to enhance network decentralization.
- December 2023: Launch of XAI blockchain and beta version of Final Form game.
- January 2024: Launch of XAI DAO, participants need to demonstrate excellent gaming skills in XAI games to become XAI DAO members.
Core Team
XAI is built by the Offchain Labs team behind the Arbitrum scaling solution and is managed by the XAI Foundation. Currently, information about the XAI Foundation team has not been disclosed. Below is information from the co-founders from Offchain Labs:
Steven Goldfeder: Co Founder & CEO
- For 3 years, 2013, 2014 and 1015, Steven worked as an engineering intern at Google Group for only about 4 months each time. This is also the time when Steven learns and experiences
- Steven also had a brief stint as an analytics intern at Microsoft.
- Finally, Steven founded and grew Offchain Labs over the past 4 years.
Ed Felten: Co Founder & Chief Scientist
- Ed holds a PhD in computer science and engineering from the University of Washington.
- Ed worked as Chief Engineer at the Government’s Federal Trade Commission in the early stages of his career.
- Next, he worked as a senior leader as Deputy Director of US Technology at the US White House.
- Ed is also currently a Professor of Computer Science and Public Affairs at Princeton University.
- Together with Steven, Harry founded and developed Offchain Labs in September 2018 – in the middle of that year’s crypto winter.
Harry Kalodner: Co Founder & CTO
- Harry holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Mathematics from Bowdoin College.
- Not stopping at a bachelor’s degree, Harry continued to further develop his educational career with a PhD in Computer Science at Princeton University.
- Just like Steven, Harry also had time as an intern at large corporations. Unlike Staven, Harry worked as an intern at Apple.
