What is Spellborne?
Spellborne is an MMORPG adventure role-playing NFT game built on the Avalanche Blockchain inspired by the hit Pokemon Nintendo GameBoy (GBA) game. Simply, players will experience the adventure of finding and training super animals with special skills.
It can be said that the idea of this game is not new and many other games have learned about the attractive gameplay of Pokemon GBA. However, without an interesting story, it will be difficult to interest players. So the game has a completely new approach with worthy economic rewards through Blockchain technology.
What is Spellborne?
The game formerly known as Defimons is now renamed Spellborne with a completely new logo in November 2023. MonStudios is the publisher behind this project. The team believes that this rebranding reflects their efforts in their journey to build a nostalgic experience with memorable characters and cute Pets.
The game has a plot about 3 children from Isogashi city, starting adventures to accomplish their own goals. Similar to the three characters Red, Green, Blue in the special Pokemon storyline.
Spellborne gameplay
The game has not yet been officially launched, but during the beta phase gameplay will revolve around:
- Players can participate in the PvP arena if they have the required number of Pets
- Explore new lands.
- Complete the missions.
- Capture and train monsters (PET).
- Fight NPCs on the map (PvE) to earn rewards.
- Farming and fishing, the products received will be used in PvP battles or used for Pets to improve their stats and skills.
- Answer questions about events and minigames like Pandoro Run.
- Building, or owning private apartments, can let Pets rest, recover, and authorize automatic EXP gathering to level up.
The PETs will be beastly creatures with separate skills and elemental systems, interacting with each other. There is currently not much information about these monsters.
Economic model in the Game
1. NFT – strong bond
Apartments are NFTs used in the Game. This collection is called Spellborne Apartments. Basic information includes:
- Total Supply: 9500 NFTs
- Blockchain: Ethereum.
- Marketplace: OpenSea
There are 4 different types of NFT apartments corresponding to many different areas including Small with 4500 NFT, Medium with 3000 NFT, Large with 1500 NFT and Penthouse with only 500 NFT. These apartments have different resting spots and utility parameters for PET. In addition, NFT holders also receive a number of incentives such as:
- Receive exclusive offers and features in the Game when the official release is released.
- Receive Airdrops of free Pets, rare items or other economic-related rewards.
- Entrust your Pet to heal or gain Exp and improve basic stats.
- These NFT apartments can be rented to other players for a fee.
2. Reward tokens.
The project has not yet officially launched the game, so there is no accurate information about the Token as well as the level of economic reward profit. It is expected that when the Game is launched in the first quarter of 2024, Tokens will be launched.
