What is Omnisea? Omnisea is the first Omnichain NFT Launchpad platform powered by LayerZero and Axelar. Let’s find out what is special about this project with Weakhand in this article.
What is Omnisea?
Overview of Omnisea
Omnisea is the foundation Launchpad Omnichain NFT first supported by LayerZero and Axelar. Users can create NFT collectibles between blockchains without switching networks. Currently, Omnisea is supporting 7 networks including: Ethereum, BNB Chain, Polygon, Avalanche, Arbitrum, Optimism and Fantom.
So what is Omnichain NFT?
Omnichain NFT is an activity where people can bring their NFTs across many different blockchain platforms to serve individual benefits such as trading at cheaper costs, borrowing – lending at better interest rates on one platform. other,…
Users can easily create NFT collections by filling in complete information about the collection such as: Collection name, floor price, list of whitelist wallets,…
Omnisea’s mechanism of action
Notes on some concepts:
- srcOA – Omnichain application on the source chain.
- dstOA – Omnichain application on target chain.
- Omnichain Router: Responsible for finding the best cross-chain communication route and delegating a message to the appropriate cross-chain messaging protocol (LayerZero or Axelar) to deliver the message from the source chain and forward to the destination chain.
I will give 2 examples so everyone can understand Omnisea’s operating model
For example: A user connected to the Omnichain application (“srcOA”) on the Polygon blockchain wants to mint an NFT on Moonbeam. The mint message is passed to the Omnichain Router, which checks if there is a direct route from Polygon to the Moonbeam blockchain to send cross-chain transactions through the Axelar platform. Because both Polygon and Moonbeam are supported by Axelar. So, the message is received by Axelar on Moonbeam and passed to the Omnichain Router contract on the Moonbeam chain. The Omnichain Router then calls the Omnichain application (“dstOA”) and mints the NFT to the user.
In case if the user is in the Optimism chain and wants to mint NFT on Moobeam. Omnichain Router checks there is no direct route from Optimism to Moobeam. So the Omnichain Router is redirected to the intermediary chain Avalanche and redirected through Axelar to Moonbeam. The Omnichain Router then calls the Omnichain application (“dstOA”) and mints the NFT to the user.
What is the Omnisea difference?
The most special feature of Omnisea is the Omnichain Router. However, Omnisea will soon provide documentation and SDKs that will allow third parties to build their multi-chain solutions using the Omnichain Router.
