Midas Capital is a Lending & Borrowing platform that allows liquidity providers to set up their own liquidity pools with optional parameters such as:
- Pool name
- Choose an Oracle service provider
- Choose whether to be whitelisted with the Midas Capital team or not
- Close Factor: Liquidation threshold of the asset
- Liquidation Incentive: Incentives for those participating in liquidating mortgaged assets
Midas Capital uses an independent liquidity pool model, also known as Isolated Pool, because of the centralized liquidity pool like the way AAVE and Compound are implementing. Deploying the Isolated Pool model is consistent with the project’s operating and development model, and the advantage of this model is that separating independent pools helps prevent bad events from spreading when they occur.
Midas Capital’s operating mechanism
Midas Capital’s operating mechanism takes place according to the following basic steps:
- Step 1: The user will create a pool and provide initial liquidity or not to the pool along with setting parameters for the pool as above.
- Step 2: Users who want to borrow and lend will interact independently with the pools.
- Step 3: The borrower will return the borrowed property with interest and get the collateral back.
The difference that Midas Capital brings to the market
The huge difference that Midas Capital has includes some of the following factors:
- Isolated Pool: Pools are independent. 1 hacked pool does not affect the remaining pools.
- Collateral: Diverse types of collateral from high-cap to low-cap coins/tokens because liquidity pools are installed with different parameters to suit the asset types. LSD Tokens or LP Tokens are also accepted.
- How it works: Liquidity providers or market makers have the right to set parameters that suit themselves. However, the parameters are not constrained leading to limited liquidity like P2P Lending platforms.
