What is Illuvium?
What is Illuvium? Illuvium is a decentralized gaming platform that provides players with RPG, AAA (triple-A) Game and NFT collectible experiences on the Ethereum Blockchain set in a fragmented world filled with beautiful wonders. Games in the ecosystem are interconnected allowing user assets to be used in many ways.
Illuvium is a combination of DeFi and Gaming, the project is developing a series of autonomous GameFis operated by the community. By joining the Add Liquidity pair ETH/ILV users will receive token rewards as part of the benefits that contribute to building the community and ecosystem in the Game.
What is Illuvium?
Because high transaction costs on the Ethereum network are a drag on NFT volume and liquidity in general. Therefore, the project team chose Immutable X to solve this problem. By providing a solution without gas fees, Zero-Knowledge (ZK) Rollup for NFT transactions. Benefits of Immutable X within the Illuvium ecosystem include:
- Maintain NFT self-governance and security on the Ethereum Blockchain network.

Game Play Illuvium
Illuvium’s ecosystem includes 4 main games:
1. Illuvium: Overworld
This is a 3rd person adventure game, also known as an RPG. Participating players will explore the world, complete quests and adventure to find new lands with fiery encounters with bosses that will appear on the map. When completed, players will receive rewards in the form of Badges (Illuvials).
The game is currently in the process of being updated. If you want to participate in the experience, you will need a Beta Code to access it. The Beta game is currently available on MacOS and Windows.
2. Illuvium: Zero
This is a game that uses land to build industrial factories that play a role in producing fuel fish (fuel). It is designed to allow players to build their own virtual industrial complexes. The game has not yet been officially launched and is in Alpha testing and is available for both Android, MacOS and Windows mobile devices.
There are different levels of land Iluvium. Higher levels represent increased rarity and higher fuel and Element Generation abilities. Player Illuvium Zero can be played on T0 Lands for free (It was not available during Alpha testing) or purchase T1-5 Lands to earn economic rewards.
To get early access to the Alpha version of Illuvium: Zero, users need to own at least one plot of land in the form of NFT. Basic information of this Land collection includes:
- Total Supply: 100,000 Land

Holders of this NFT will receive the following benefits:
- Collect Fuel: Owners will receive a profit sharing reward of 5% of Game revenue. Fuel received from Land levels 1-5 can be sold and converted to ETH.
- Using Land to play Illuvium: Zero produces more Fuel and Elements.
- Create designs. It can be created as an NFT and then sold on IlluviDex for ETH or used to craft new cosmetic skins.
3. Illuvium: Arena
This is the game Competitive automatic combat. In which players need to assemble strong armies with many different roles to defeat the opposing team. Players need to take advantage of each monster’s abilities to come up with reasonable strategies to increase their chances of winning.
In the Game there are 3 game modes: Ascendant (PvE), Survival (PvP), Leviathan (Coming soon).
The monsters in the game are called Illuvials has more than 150 types for players to collect, all of them have one of 5 basic element types. Water (Water)Fire (Fire)Land (Earth)Air (Air) and Nature (Nature). Form an incompatible relationship. In the game, applying these factors will help players win more easily.
In addition, these systems also have a resonance feature when linking two types of elements together to form a new element, such as Ice (Water + Air), Hell (Fire + Fire)…
Besides system factors, Illuvials are also divided into separate Classes (groups) representing each role such as dealing damage or resisting in battle. 5 Classes included Fighter, Bulwark, Rogue, Psion and Empath.
When the match starts, Each Illuvial will find an enemy target and begin attacking.
During the match, through attacks and increased damage if the system is overcome, Illuvials will gain energy. The battle ends when one team has been completely defeated.
To own Illuvials, players need Shard. Shard is one of the most important items in the Game, used to capture and control Illuvials. Shards are an NFT that come in different levels based on their power when capturing Illuvials. Each player is provided with a certain number of shards at the beginning of the Game. Players can also purchase them on Illuvidex.
There is not much information about this collection yet, as the game is currently waiting to be released and there is an Open Beta coming soon.
4. Illuvium: Beyond
This is a card collection game, each Card is a unique NFT that can be used as Profile Pictures for other titles. In the future, this game will develop a breakthrough to become an online NFT trading card game (TCG) for players to unleash their creativity. However, this idea is currently in proposal status waiting for DAO community administrators to vote and approve.
Now, with a collection of unique hand-drawn Illuvitars such as accessories, backgrounds, finishes and emotes, players can only collect it by purchasing open boxes to collect rare cards, thereby earning High scores to be at the top of the rankings.

2. In-Game Currency
The Game uses a 2-token model with ILV as the governance token and Fuel as the main currency in the Game.
Players use Fuel as currency for all Games in the Illuvium ecosystem. There are 3 types of Fuel: Crypton, Hyperion and Solon. Fuel connected to the Illuvium Overworld and Arena economy. Additionally, it will be connected to all new Illuvium Games in the future.
Fuel also used to construct Advanced Constructions in Illuvium Zero. All Fuel locations in the Lands of Illuvium have the same rarity. Players can use their Fuel in Illuvium Zero to proceed with the development of their lands or Swap on IlluviDex via ETH.
The 3 types of Fuel mentioned above are used in the Illuvium ecosystem for many different purposes, such as repairing Shards, creating and upgrading weapons, and moving to different areas. Fuel production by Illuvium Zero.
In Illuvium: Over the World
- Hyperion is used to repair the Shard and capture the Illuvials.
- Solon is used to craft weapons, armor, and other upgrades.
- Crypton is used to travel to different areas.
In Illuvium: Zero
Hyperion, Solon and Crypton are commonly used in high-end buildings. These fuels can be used to build or upgrade certain structures.
