Mechanism of action
- Depositing: NDepositors share in the interest paid by borrowers in proportion to the average borrowing rate multiplied by the utilization rate. The higher the reserve utilization, the higher the return to depositors. NDepositors also receive a portion of the Quick Loan fee corresponding to 0.09% of the Quick Loan volume.
- Borrow: Borrower deposit any assets to use as collateral. The maximum amount you can borrow depends on the amount you have deposited and available liquidity. If your health rating is insufficient or if you don’t have enough liquidity, you won’t be able to borrow. You can repay your loan with the same asset you borrowed from.
- Flash Loans: Quick Loans is a feature designed for developers, due to the technical knowledge required to implement a feature. Flash loans allow you to borrow any amount of available assets without putting up any collateral, as long as the liquidity is returned to the protocol in a block transaction.
- Liquidations: Liquidation is a process that occurs when a borrower’s health ratio falls below 1 because the value of their collateral does not properly cover the value of their loan/debt. This can happen when the collateral decreases in value or the borrowed debt increases in value relative to each other. The liquidation penalty depends on the assets used as collateral.
