What is Enso Finance? Enso Finance is a protocol that empowers users to collaboratively manage a flexible strategy with the freedom to utilize the entire DeFi ecosystem to users’ advantage. So what makes Enso Finance stand out? What ingredients will it have? Join the Weakhand team to find out below in this article!
What is Enso Finance?
Enso Finance is a protocol that allows anyone to create permissionless trading strategies. Enso Finance will provide users with access to social trading strategies, which can be invested in directly or through creator tokens.
The protocol achieves these by defining five core components that are integrated in a modular fashion so that the components can be swapped out to enable new functionality. The components that make up the Enso Finance protocol are: Strategy, StrategyController, Router, Adapters and Oracle.
Mechanism of action
Components that make up the Enso Finance protocol:
Strategy – Strategy
Strategy is the protocol’s main storage layer contract. Contract Strategy holds all the underlying assets of a strategy. It stores the token distribution state, acts as the owner of the underlying assets, and has ERC – 20 compatible features to represent user ownership of the underlying assets. Strategy.
StrategyController – Strategy controller
StrategyController is the main interface of the Enso Finance protocol and as such, it is what most users will interact with. StrategyController has the exclusive right to approve and transfer tokens from Strategy contracts, allowing management of asset deposits, withdrawals and rebalancing.
Router – Router
The Router is a contract that handles the main transaction logic for the Strategy. The router will not know which strategy will be used and whether the contract will be deployed algorithmically or strategically. Users are approved to trade on behalf of the strategy controller and can freely transfer assets out.
For security, all approvals will be deleted from the Router upon completion of the transaction.
Adapters – Adapters
Adapters provide a common interface for asset exchange, liquidity provision or yiel farming.
Oracle
EnsoOracle provides readily available price data, priced in WETH. EnsoOracle estimates the total value of a strategy based on the underlying value of its assets. Strategies rely on EnsoOracle to accurately estimate the total value of the underlying asset and check for balance both before and after any trade.
