Background of Dokyo’s birth
At the Avalanche Summit event held in Barcelona in May 2023, Murata, founder of Murasaki, who was exhibiting as a sponsor at the event, and Mr. Brando, founder of Dokyo, met and the discussion developed. Mr. Brando loves Japan and wants to incorporate Japanese-style creativity.
Thus, the two sides agreed to work towards producing artwork by Japanese creators, rather than artwork by overseas creators with Japanese tastes as was previously the case.
What is Dokyo?
Dokyo is a PFP collection of 5,555 NFTs issued on the Avalanche network with the ambition to become the leading collection on this ecosystem like Crypto Punks does on Ethereum, SMB does on Solana or Fuddies on Sui Network. Dokyo are NFTs inspired by Japanese style and the project name itself is a reference to a famous city in Japan, Tokyo.
Dokyo in Japanese has two meanings: “courage” and “community”. Dokyo was launched with the vision that participants will have the courage to break out of their shell and reclaim their spiritual position, dreams and hopes.
Dokyo’s goal is to build a series of practical products such as:
- Social Clubs: Is a gathering place for consultants and project experts, besides being a place to build relationships or create Workshops.
- Dokyo Store: A place to sell physical products such as fashion based on Dokyo’s image, thereby building a culture for the project.
