Bittensor Overview
What is Bittensor?
Bittensor is an open source protocol that supports Machine-Learning combined with Blockchain technology. The project aims to build a decentralized infrastructure that allows developers or AI researchers to create and deploy Machine-Learning models efficiently. Along with that is the vision of creating an AI market where users and manufacturers can interact and transact through transparent and fast Blockchain technology.
Bittensor introduces the mechanism for the first time Proof of Intelligence (PoI) used by this network. It is a similar variation to the Proof of Stake or Proof of Work models. PoI is built to verify and validate AI datasets created by Validators. However, instead of solving complex algorithms, Nodes on PoI’s network will be asked to perform Machine-Learning tasks to demonstrate their intelligence. These Nodes are called AI Nodes.
“Machine-Learning shows off their intelligence” refers to Bittensor’s architectural design being inspired by cognitive processes observed in the human brain. Each computational unit in the Bittensor system, called a Neuron, consists of three essential elements: a model, a data set, and a loss function. These Neurons work collaboratively to optimize their respective loss functions by taking advantage of input data and communication between neurons.
The more accurate the output of the Machine-Learning model on the Node, the higher the chance of being selected to create a new Block on the network. From there, receive Block Reward in the form of TAO tokens.
One of the key features of Bittensor is a consensus mechanism that allows a decentralized network of AI Nodes to jointly make decisions and verify data.
Bittensor provides AI developers access to a global network of computing resources to push the boundaries of AI innovation, enabling a decentralized network of AI Nodes to collaboratively make decisions and verify data. Whether. This decentralized approach not only strengthens the robustness and reliability of AI models but also ensures data privacy and sovereignty at all times.
What is the Bittensor difference?
The highlight of the project lies in Bittensor’s core technology, which has outstanding features such as:
- Multi-language programming: They can be written in Rust, Python, C++ or any other programming language.
- Yuma Consensus: is a mechanism launched on the network to ensure that there is consistency between Validators.
- Does not depend on algorithms like traditional PoW mechanisms.
- Information can be changed: Most other Blockchains write authentic information right on their network. However, with Yuma Consensus, Machine-Learning models can learn and adapt without any information moving between the Chain and Validators.
