Overview of Asymmetry Finance
Asymmetry Finance is a project in the LSDfi segment that allows users to allocate risks in staking ETH while helping Ethereum solve the problem of too much concentration on Lido Finance. Currently, Asymmetry Finance has successfully integrated with Lido Finance, Rocket Pool and Frax Finance. In the future, StakeWise and many other LSD platforms will be added.
Mechanism of action
The operating mechanism of Asymmetry Finance takes place according to the following steps:
- Step 1: Users deposit their ETH into Asymmetry Finance and receive safETH representing the amount of ETH the user deposited into the platform. For example, if you send 1 ETH, you will receive 1 safETH.
- Step 2: User’s ETH will be included in many protocols such as Lido Finance, Rocket Pool, Frax Finance, StakeWise,… So safETH is an index of a basket of assets such as stETH, rETH or sfxrETH.
Besides, Asymmetry Finance will also use many ways to optimize the amount of fees used when participating in staking activities. For example, if stETH is depeg, the protocol will buy stETH directly instead of staking it on Lido Finance.
Development Roadmap
Asymmetry Finance does not share too much about its development roadmap, other than that in the future the protocol will develop towards Real Yield when sharing 100% of revenue with the community and users. Besides, Asymmetry Finance will launch afETH with an APY of up to 12%, double what safETH can do.
