Overview of Xai
Xai blockchain is a Layer 3 network built on Layer 2 Arbitrum, optimized specifically for game development. To make it easier to understand, if we consider Arbitrum as a Layer 1, then Xai is Layer 2 of Arbitrum, similar to the story of Ethereum and Layer 2.
Choosing Arbitrum as the place to develop Layer 3 gives Xai many advantages such as cheap transaction fees and very high transaction speed. In addition, Xai Foundation also receives very dedicated support from the Offchain Labs team, currently the team behind the development of Arbitrum Foundation.
In its development roadmap, the Xai Foundation has mentioned that it will launch the token in December 2023 after the mainnet network, most likely there will not be an early sale round but instead the project will proceed. Prepare gETH
Buy gETH using these steps:
- Visit: https://testnetbridge.com/
- Swap ETH from Layer 2 to gETH Goerli.
Bridge assets to Xai
- Visit: https://bridge.arbitrum.io/
- Connect to the Goerli network then bridge gETH to Arbitrum Goerli.
- Continue switching networks to Arbitrum Goerli and bridge gETH to Xai.
Mint XAI Quest Tokens
- Visit: https://xai.games/odyssey/testnetswap
- Connect to the Xai network then mint test token.
Mint Vanguard NFT
- Visit: https://xai.games/odyssey/vanguard-mint
- Connect to the Xai network and mint Vanguard NFT.

Deploy contract on Xai
- Visit: https://thirdweb.com/thirdweb.eth/DropERC1155
- Select “Deploy now” and enter the necessary parameters to continue.
- After pressing continue, the website will redirect people to the dashboard.
- Select “NFT” then select “Single Upload”, fill in the parameters and select “Lazy mint NFT”.
- Select “Contract” the newly minted NFT and move to the “Claim Conditions” section.
- Select “Add Phase” and “Public”, fill in other parameters.
- Note the section “How much do you want to charge to claim each NFT?” then everyone needs to fill in “5” in the first box then select “Custom ERC20” in the next box and fill in the following smart contract: 0x61f1F74D9902a96429ed3fAF31B5D8140d025B7F.
- Once completed, everyone selects “Embed”, turns on the Client ID section and proceeds to mint NFT.
