Lil Pudgy debuted in December 2021 after only 4 months since Pudgy Penguins was born and Lil Pudgy belongs to the project segment PFP NFT (Profile Picture NFT).
Lil Pudgy was born in the context of Pudgy Penguins becoming one of the Blue-chip NFT sets on the market with extremely expensive prices up to nearly $10K and that’s why Lil Pudgy was born in larger quantities for everyone to see. You can also own a penguin.

Core Team
Initially, Pudgy Penguins was developed by four members who are university students including: Clayton Patterson, Mickyj, Jonah and Cole Villemain. However, in early 2022, the project was in disarray, with influencers in the 9x9x9 NFT community alleging that Pudgy Penguins founder Cole Villermain was trying to sell the project after taking all the money from the project.
In April 2022, Luca Schnetzler – a businessman based in Los Angeles acquired the project for a whopping 750 ETH (about $2.5M USD).
