What are Pudgy Penguins?
Pudgy Penguins is inspired by penguins in the arctic region. Each Pudgy Penguins is called “Pengu” taken from the short film about a family of penguins living in the Arctic. Now, Pudgy Penguins is gradually asserting its position by taking a different direction from most other collections by accessing the web2 market through selling Pudgy Toys toys. Initially, Pudgy Penguins was developed by 4 members who are university students including: Clayton Patterson, Mickyj, Jonah and Cole Villemain. However, in early 2022, the project was in disarray, with influencers in the 9x9x9 NFT community alleging that Pudgy Penguins founder Cole Villermain was trying to sell the project after taking all the money from the project.
In April 2022, Luca Schnetzler – a businessman based in Los Angeles acquired the project for a whopping 750 ETH (about $2.5M USD).
