Rekt Dogs is a web3 brand launching exclusively on Polygon. Through unique art and cutting-edge technology, Rekt Dogs aims to explore the limits of NFTs and build an open ecosystem to bring more users and builders to Polygon. A collection of 10,000 NFTs aimed at growing a bite-sized community that will not only allow creativity to blossom, but also pave the way for Rekt Dogs video games. The collection was minted on Magic Eden in batches with the first batch of 3333 NFTs ending on February 24, 2023. Meanwhile, the second batch of 4443 NFTs was minted on March 10, 2023.

These NFTs are inspired by the idea of “Rekt,” a term commonly used in the NFT community to describe a situation where an investment or transaction goes wrong. Rekt Dogs serves as a reminder of the ups and downs of the cryptocurrency world, the importance of adaptability and humility in the face of investment risk.
Rekt Dogs has golden coins called Aureus, to reward extremely lucky people. There will be 100 Aureus in the collection, all redeemable for 1/1. So for example, you can exchange Aureus for Batman, Golden Armor and Pepe the Frog etc. (Each Aureus can only be used once. There is no expiration date. Its image and metadata will be updated updated to 1/1 custom after redeeming gift).

Development roadmap
Rekt Dogs holders can stake to receive $REKT tokens, spend tokens to purchase new traits, or upgrade to 1/1. Traits can be equipped, emptied, traded, or burned into tokens. During the first phase after the casting process, many features will be created, not only by the internal team but also in collaboration with other artists.
In the second phase, Rekt will launch a third-party feature marketplace where anyone can submit new feature designs with a revenue sharing plan. Eventually, Rekt will open its tools to support other projects in the ecosystem.
