Overview of HyperPlay
What is HyperPlay?
HyperPlay is a project that connects Web3 games with users, it connects Web3 wallets such as Metamask, Wallet Connect,… to all games in the project’s library, but still ensures compatibility. privacy and security for users.
HyperPlay is also an aggregator of Web3 games, it has a total of 3 large game libraries: HyperPlay, Epic Store and GOG.
Some outstanding features of HyperPlay include:
- HyperPlay does not charge fees for game purchases or in-game transactions. For developers releasing through Epic Store or GOG, there will be no platform fees, but fees from Apple, CH Play,… will still be charged as usual.
- HyperPlay supports browser games as well. Not only that, HyperPlay also Make some UX changes for a better user experience.
- Currently, HyperPlay has no monetization plans at this time (as of writing), however in the future the platform is expected to introduce monetization features for its users.
Mechanism of action
Actually, the operating mechanism of the project is quite simple, as a user you just need to understand that the project will be an intermediary connecting users and game projects. Game projects need HyperPlay to reach customers, minimizing work to do such as wallet interaction issues with the game. Users use HyperPlay to easily participate in many games on Web3, without being constrained to any one game.
Project characteristics
Each game project in the HyperPlay library is strictly censored to avoid malware for users. In addition, HyperPlay also built a special mechanism to handle malware if it gets into the game library.
The project is currently developed on 3 operating systems: Window, MacOS, Linux,… It also supports EVM chains including: Ethereum, zkSync, Polygon, Mantle, Avalanche,…
The project also pledges to never reveal users’ private keys. Games can send transaction requests to users but cannot access their private keys or sign them without their consent. The project will not charge users a transaction fee, but they will charge a fee for placing the store on their game library.
