Lens Protocol vs CyberConnect are currently the two largest SocialFi platforms today with products with real users. And of course, among good projects, we always want to know which is the best project, so in this article, let’s compare Lens Protocol vs CyberConnect.
To better understand Lens Protocol and CyberConnect, people can refer to some of the documents below:

Compare Lens Protocol Vs CyberConnect
Development team
The development teams of Lens Protocol and CyberConnect can be said to be on par with each other when:
- CyberConnect development team has a lot of experience in the Crypto market, having successfully built Lino Network & DLive – online, decentralized livestream software on the blockchain. Later, DLive was acquired by BitTorrent in December 2019. It can be said that DLive has been extremely successful with 10M monthly users.
- Lens Protocol development team are the people who have successfully built AAVE into the largest Lending Pool platform in the Crypto market. It can be said that the level of influence of AAVE on the Crypto market in general and individual ecosystems in particular is undeniable.
It is quite difficult to say which team is stronger because they have been successful in each of their own fields. However, because AAVE is a project related to finance and does not have much connection with Lens Protocol, I am more inclined to CyberConnect’s team because of what they have done with DLive. .
LENS PROTOCOL 0 – 1 CYBERCONNECT
Investors
CyberConnect has gone through two successful capital calls with a total amount raised up to $25M with the participation of many big names such as Tribe Capital, Spartan Group, Protocol Labs, SevenX Ventures, IOSG Ventures,… Besides, Lens Protocol has only successfully called for $15M in the Seed round with the participation of General Catalyst, Variant, Blockchain Capital, Palm Tree A and many Angel Investors.
Obviously, if at the same Seed round, Lens Protocol calls for more and in the future at Series rounds, Lens Protocol can regain its advantage, but currently CyberConnect is doing better.
The quality of VCs from both sides is similar, but somewhere CyberConnect still has a slight edge.
LENS PROTOCOL 0 – 2 CYBERCONNECT
Ecosystem
There was a different mindset in product development between CyberConnect and Lens Protocol from the very first days. May be mentioned as:
- Lens Protocol tries to build an ecosystem with all the puzzle pieces, although most are forked from the Web2 model such as Lenstube – Youtube, Lensfrens – Linkedlin, Lenster – Twitter Web, Phaver, ORB – Twitter Mobile App,. .. Although there are a few Social platforms focusing on different niches such as Memes, Private chat,…
- CyberConnect focuses on the first Social project they built themselves, Link3. CyberConnect’s development team tries to bring Link3 closer to many projects, users and KOLs. Currently, Link3 is one of the Social platforms with real users because Link3’s products make an important contribution to improving Web3. about security and decentralization.
Up to now, if compared to the number of DApps in the ecosystem, Lens Protocol is quite far behind CyberConnect and vice versa in terms of quality. Lens Protocol’s ecosystem is diverse in many different areas such as Event, Music, Finance, Infastructure, Bridgem Curation, Identity,…
Up to now, let’s take a look at the Lens Protocol ecosystem including:
- Social Meida: ORB, Phaver, Lenstube, Lenster, Lensfren, SuperFun, YUP, Share. Fanstatic, Digitalax, Re:MEME, Social Nouns, The Dial,…
- Curation: LensAlert, Huddle01, Talenly App,…
- Music: Decent, Club Space, Beat.xyz, Lyrical World, Ooh La La, StemsDAO,…
- Infastructure: Lens Human, Cultivator, Dome, Sismo,…
- Bridge: InLens, Lens Share, Green Housem Reflect,…
- Metaverse: Phi xyz.
- Identity: Sismo, KNN3 Network, Cultivator, Dome,
- Community Tools: Guild xyz, Lensdrop,…
- Event: WeLook, Web3 Events,…
- Finance: Troop Finance, RociFi, Alps Finance, Mad Finance,…
- Tools: JokeDAO, Meetverse,…
- Some other projects: Lenscast, Interface, LensAI, Infinity Keys, Lensencrypted Messaging, Soclly, Social Nuns, Chain Jet,…
Obviously, the number of projects and pieces in the Lens Protocol ecosystem is extremely diverse, and especially Lens Protocol is a rare platform with projects in the Finance segment. This is something few projects can do. I believe that in the future Social and Finance will merge together to give users the best and seamless experience like the way WeChat has been extremely successful.
After the success of Link3, even after the CyberConnect Airdrop reached users, the number of users named Link3 was still relatively large. CyberConnect began to expand its ecosystem with many different pieces such as:
- Social Media: Phaver, Link3, Memebook, RealOn, Closp, Atem Network,…
- Community Management: Link3, Mocaverse, Galxe, QuestN, Gamic,…
- Music: CyberTune, Huddle 01, Dopamine, Wondera.
- Metaverse: SNW, Light.so. Hangout Game, Oasis Origin, Gabby World, Rosen Bridge, W3Space.
- Food: Plato.
- Professional Networking: Metajam, VESS Resume, Oi! Network.
- Game: Plant Crossing, Flappy Moonbird, Rekt Interactive, Degen Reborn,…
I’m sure everyone will like the different approaches of Lens Protocol & CyberConnect, but in this part I’m a bit more inclined towards Lens Protocol.

Lens Protocol V2 & CyberConnect V3 Review
Both Lens Protocol and CyberConnect have had a pretty tight race as both platforms recently released new versions to update outdated features such as:
- Lens Protocol launches Lens V2 with completely new features such as Profile V2, Profile Manager, Open Action and collective value sharing. Everyone can read details about Lens V2 here.
- CyberConnect also upgraded version V3 with CyberAccount, CyberID, CyberNetwork. Everyone can read details about Cyber V3 here.
In fact, both platforms aim to solve the problem of user experience on their networks. However, I find CyberConnect’s approach to be more comprehensive when using Account Abstraction technology to solve the entire UI UX problem.
Besides, CyberConnect is also taking Multichain directions to find more users for its social networking platform. It can be said that Multichain development platforms are completely reasonable, especially in the context that many users and cash flows are at Layer 2.
LENS PROTOCOL 1 – 3 CYBERCONNECT
User community
Regarding the level of love from the community, each community will be different. If CyberConnect is highly appreciated because of its easy access, the Lens Protocol community is very “uncomfortable” about having to spend hundreds of dollars to own a domain name to join the ecosystem despite knowing that the project is still in the testing phase and not ready to welcome hundreds of thousands of users. However, Lens Protocol still has some attractions such as:
- The project has not yet launched the Native Token LENS, which makes the community still pay great attention to the Lens Protocol because of reasons related to Airdrop/Retroactive.
- The project, recognizing the need for user participation, has continued to relax so that old users have the right to invite new people to join, which lowers the price of .lens.
Although CyberConnect itself has real users, after the Airdrop event to the community, the number of users on this platform is also trending down. For this reason, CyberConnect must strongly promote ecosystem expansion and Multichain development.
Lens Protocol’s development team, AAVE, has a big name in the Crypto community, so the number of AAVE fans switching to Lens Protocol is also very large. Not only that, with its relationship AAVE has brought many big KOLs in the Crypto village to its ecosystem, which strongly promotes the development of Lenster or Phacer.
Obviously, in terms of community factor, Lens Protocol is slightly better than CyberConnect. However, CyberConnect with its Native Token is also continuously organizing events to expand its community now and in the future.
LENS PROTOCOL 2 – 3 CYBERCONNECT
User experience
The user experience that both CyberConnect and Lens Protocol bring to users is quite similar. If at the time of starting to use platforms such as Link3 on CyberConnect or Lenster of Lens Protocol, up to now all of these inconveniences have been quickly resolved by both development teams. development.
I often use:
- Lens Protocol’s Social Media platforms to post information for Weakhand.
- Link3 to organize AMM or Giveaway events with the purpose of increasing transparency for the community.
There really aren’t any user experience issues on these two platforms that make me feel uncomfortable. Therefore, I will draw a tie in the user experience section between Lens Protocol & CyberConnect.
LENS PROTOCOL 3 – 4 CYBERCONNECT
Summary
CyberConnect is a bit better than Lens Protocol at the moment due to my personal opinions. However, in the future there will certainly be changes that could see Lens Protocol regain its position or CyberConnect continue to outpace Lens Protocol in the SocialFi race.
