Proof Of Play was founded in December 2021, led by Amitt Mahajan. Proof Of Play is an On-chain Game Studios combined with a technology company. The company’s vision is to create generation-defining games of player empowerment and ownership. Proof Of Play’s development team comes from leading traditional game companies such as Epic Games, Zynga, Activision, Riot Games.

Proof of Play has set its sights on the concept of “Forever Game,” where On-chain games have the ability to exist automatically without the need for constant intervention from developers or external servers. They want to build games that can survive the passage of time, where in-game assets and source code persist even when there is no one to guarantee the game’s operation.

Mirroring

Mirroring technology can be simply understood as Transaction on Layer 1 and play on Layer 2. This technology is being applied to their first On – Chain game, Pirate Nation.

The Mirroring process will take place as follows:

• Step 1: User will buy Token / NFT and have ownership of that Token / NFT.
• Step 2: On Layer 1 when the Token / NFT is moved and confirmed on Layer 1, the Token / NFT moves and is included in the block.
• Step 3: Move the Token / to a temporary address in Layer 2. Finally the block will be confirmed to have the correct new owner, if there is an error it will stop working or start from the beginning.

Highlights of this technology:

• Normally when transferring assets, they will use Bridges, and these Bridges will own your assets on another network. This shows a great dependence on the Bridge. If the bridge is attacked, users will lose their assets. Therefore, this Mirroring technology helps users limit the loss of assets.
• Ensure users will always own their Layer 1 assets.
• This technology brings flexibility, allowing users to experience Multi chain, if that chain has problems, players can still easily continue on another chain.
• Good interoperability, games on L2 can use any NFT to play games, increasing interoperability between different games.

Game Wallet

Proof Of Play launched “Game Wallet”, players will authorize the Game Wallet once using their main wallet and then this secondary wallet can perform in-game activities like finding quests , make,..

This game wallet gives users the following points:

• No pop-ups
• No need to sign transactions

The game wallet will consist of two technologies combined: game wallet and Meta transaction (EIP – 2771).

The game wallet is a locally stored wallet that does not store player funds and assets. Players only need to sign a message, confirming to the main wallet to make in-game transactions.

When someone can log into the game wallet, that person can only perform simple actions in the Game. All player assets remain safe in the main wallet.

The second piece of technology is meta transactions (EIP – 2771). The player will sign a transaction that allows the game action to be performed, but instead of doing it directly on the blockchain, it is sent through a relay server that issues on behalf of the user (and also pays a fee).

The relay server broadcasts this information through the trusted Contact, verifies the signature, and forwards the transaction to the game Contract. This means players only have to authorize the transaction but do not need to own the Token of the network they are broadcasting to confirm the transaction.

• The above two improvements help On-chain Game players reduce cumbersome steps when playing today.
• Players can log in and play the Game without confirming the transaction with their main wallet (after the first Transaction).
• If this wallet is transferred to another device, such as one’s phone, the game can be played without accessing the main wallet.

VRF is understood as a verifiable random function, custom VRF is maximized for speed and cost, faster and cheaper and is currently used in Game Pirate Nation.

Highlights of VRF:

• Provides faster speed, reducing VRF run time to only 5 seconds, compared to 30 seconds with existing solutions.
• The cost efficiency of VRF operation is much more economical.
