What is Dem Exchange?
Dem Exchange is a decentralized exchange, built on Blockchain Carbon, a Layer 2 blockchain built on the Cosmos ecosystem.
Dem Exchange allows users to make Spot transactions, Futures Contracts, Perpetual Contracts. In addition, the project is also planning to provide options and bonds for users.
Project characteristics
Because it is built on the Cosmos ecosystem, Dem Exchange inherits security, low costs and fast transaction speed. According to the project, they can handle 10,000 transactions/s. The project also supports trading leverage up to 50X.
There are two main components participating in the project:
Liquidity provider for the project includes retail liquidity providers and market makers. There are two markets that need to provide liquidity:
- Liquidity provisioning with the spot market: Liquidity providers will operate similarly to liquidity provisioning on Uniswap, providing two tokens into a common liquidity pool.
- Providing liquidity to the futures market: The liquidity provider will only provide a single token, USDC, into the liquidity pool.
Traders: Is the main participant in Dem Exchange. Although the project provides liquidity in the AMM style, it will design the UI as an order book exchange, which will help people conveniently trade like on CEXs. When participating in transactions on Dem Exchange, people will have to pay three types of fees:
- Transaction fees on the exchange
- Order execution fees on the carbon blockchain
- Funding fees.
Users can also participate in lending or borrowing assets on Dem Exchange
