What is Kujira? We will learn about this cryptocurrency together in today’s article!
As DeFi grows, the opportunity to profit becomes more and more clear. However, it is challenging for beginners to take advantage of the benefits that larger traders/investors enjoy, due to lack of expertise or capital.
And a new protocol was born to fix that, which is Kujira (KUJI).
What is Kujira?
“Kujira”, Japanese for “whale”, is the name of a new DeFi protocol that aims to turn everyone – from novices to experts – into crypto whales, by providing The tool is affordable and easy to use.
Its manifesto is bold: “Everyone deserves to be a whale.”
Kujira is a Layer 1 protocol built on Cosmos that can be used to host projects chosen by the community.
Kujira has four main applications: FIN, ORCA, BLUE and Finder. Each of these applications has its own specific use cases, which we will discuss later in the article.
Kujira’s Special Point
Some unique features of the Kujira platform include:
- Semi-delegated: The Kujira network is semi-delegated, which means that for a project to be launched on Kujira, it needs to be voted through governance on the Kujira platform. This protects the long-term sustainability and quality of the network, while allowing for a healthy degree of decentralization.
- Online Scheduler: The Kujira platform has an online scheduler that allows protocols to be built without heavy reliance on bots, which will lead to increased efficiency and less fees due to less wasteful transactions.
- Built with the Cosmos SDK: Kujira is built on the Cosmos SDK, which is known for its modularity, flexibility, and security. This allows many possibilities when developing applications on the Kujira platform.
Kujira’s Mechanism of Action
We have briefly learned what Kujira is? So how does this project work? Continue watching below:
As mentioned above, Kujira has four main applications: FIN, ORCA, BLUE, and Finder to help users take advantage of different types of income-earning DeFi opportunities on their journey to becoming crypto whales.
1. FIN: The first decentralized and permissionless token exchange built on Cosmos, it eliminates the need for inflationary schemes and incentives, as well as the risk of impermanent loss by eliminating pools Liquidity. This implies that it is no longer necessary to provide inflationary tokens to keep investors in the liquidity pool. Through FIN, the Kujira platform is more cost-effective as traders do not need to pay extra to get their trades executed.
2. ORCA: A special marketplace built for liquidated collateral. Kujira users can easily liquidate multiple assets. Users can hedge their favorite assets and earn passive income in the form of interest. ORCA users also have the option to convert existing UST bids to aUST. However, since Terra crashed, the value of UST has decreased significantly. This is why Kujira created a new interest-bearing asset class, aUST.
3. BLUE: Kujira Ecosystem Dashboard enables:
- Staking KUJI: Users can stake their KUJI to validate transactions on the Kujira network and earn staking rewards.
- Voting on governance: Users can vote on proposals that affect the Kujira network.
- Swap KUJI: Users can also swap their KUJI for other assets available on the Kujira platform.
- Connectivity: Users can connect their assets from other platforms to the Kujira Network.
- Get rewards: Users can claim their rewards on BLUE after they stake their KUJI or vote for a proposal.
4. Finder: Allows tracking of addresses (can be bookmarked), transactions, validators and more, as part of market research from users.

Together we learned what Kujira is, as well as how Kujira works.
Kujira aims to be a “one-stop” platform that gives everyone the opportunity to benefit from DeFi through tools marketed as easy-to-use and cost-effective for all users. However, the platform is still in its early stages and only time will tell how successful Kujira will be in the long run – the more user-friendly and differentiated products it creates, the better its growth prospects will be. it will be even brighter.
